Start your Day with Delicious Aloo Bhaji

Healthy Aloo bhaji is always a great idea and along with simple chapatti this simple potato sabzi makes a simple delicious meal. Some people likes to eat Potato with their skin because of their richness. It is one of the most lovable vegetable in especially India.  May be, They want themselves connected to the root of the Indian-ness. It is a dish which does not rerquire any complementary to be with.

Boiled potatoes sauted with onions, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and turmeric – it is a quick delicious aloo ki sabzi recipe.It is very simple yet very deliciuos dish.

Ingredients for Potato Bhaji Recipe :

  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and diced 4.

  • Onion 2 tablespoons.

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon.

  • Green chillies chopped 4.

  • Curry leaves 10-12.

  • Oil 3 tablespoons.

  • Onions sliced 2.

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 inch.

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon.

  • Asafoetida a pinch.

  • Salt to taste.


Method:

Step 1: Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and when they begin to crackle add green chillies, curry leaves, urad dal and saute till the dal turns golden.

Step 2: Add onions and saute till translucent. Add ginger and continue to saute.

Step 3: Add  turmeric powder and asafoetida and stir well. Add potato pieces and salt.

Step 4: While stirring mash the potato pieces lightly. Sprinkle a little water and continue to cook for further two to three minutes.

Step 5: Place this bhaji in the centre of a dosa, roll in both the sides and serve hot with chutney and sambhar.
