Crispy Sambar Wadi - Famous Nagpuri Snack
Sambar Wadi Recipe
Preparation time : 30-40 minsServings : 6-8 pieces
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- chopped coriander leaves (1 bowl)
- crushed coconut powder
- 1 chopped onion
- ginger-garlic and green chilli paste
- 1/2 tbsp khuskhus
- red chilli powder
- turmeric powder
- Cumin (jeera) powder
- salt as per taste
- 3-4 cashews
- Oil for deep frying
- Firstly Wash the corriander leaves and then finely chop.
- Add 1 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it. add ginger garlic and green chilli paste, chopped onion and fry till it becomes golden brown.
- Now add crushed coconut powder, jeera powder, red chilli powder, salt and cashew pieces. Mix well.
- Add corriander leaves and stir-fry for few minutes.
- Switch off the flame, take it out and keep aside.
- Take 1 cup besan, wheat flour, turmeric, chilli powder, salt as per taste, and make a dough. Knead well.
- Now take small lemon size portion of the dough and make chappati. put 2 tbsp of corriander mixture in middle of the chapati. Fold the edges and seal.
- Simililary make remaining sambar wadi.
- Take Oil in the frying pan and heat on medium flame. Deep fry all the sambar wadi till brown spots appear on its surface.
- Serve with tamarind chutney.
