Mixed Veg Pulav in Easy Steps

The best thing about this dish which I like is you can add vegetables of your choice. Veg Pulav is the best meal for vegeterians. Making Veg Pulav is a very simple task. You just need to follow all the steps properly  and add all the spices for it's original taste. The spices brings the real taste to Veg Pulav. Today I am sharing a quick and easy recipe of Veg Pulav So you can try this tasty dish at home. Serve Veg Pulav along with Raita.

Ingredients :

1 Cup Rice, Oil, 1-2 Bay leaf, Cinnamom, 2 cloves, Red chilli powder, garam masala powder, Turmeric powder, chopped vegetables (Onion, Carrot, French beans), Green Peas ( Frozen), Corriander leaves, salt, Water.

Method :

  • Take 1 cup Rice in a bowl wash it with water. Drain the water and keep aside.
  • Add 2-3 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker and heat it on low flame.
  • Add Bay leaf, Cinnamon, cloves, and fry for few seconds.
  • Now add chopped onions and fry till it becomes light brown.
  • Add other vegetables chopped carrot, french beans and green peas fry them for 2 minutes.
  • Add Red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt to the vegetables.
  • Mix well. Add Rice to the pressure cooker and Water.
  • Now close the lid of pressure cooker.
  • Cook till 2-3 whistles.
  • Once it's done turn off the flame and let it cool.
  • Finally Tranfer the rice to a bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
