Laccha paratha is just like normal paratha but it has multiple layers. It is soft and crispy paratha serves better with mango pickle or tea. Lachha paratha is best meal for breakfast. Here I am sharing a quick recipe of Laccha paratha.  If you heard about this paratha for the first time then go and try this amazing recipe at your home. Preparation Time : 25 - 30 mins
Servings : 4 - 5 Parathas

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cup Maida or Wheat Flour
  • pinch of Salt (or as per taste)
  • 2-4 cups Water
  • Oil or ghee

Steps

  • Take Maida or wheat flour in a large bowl. Add a pinch of salt to it.
  • Now add water carefully to the flour and make a dough like for chapati.
  • Knead it well and make a soft dough.
  • Cover it with a cloth and keep aside for 25-30 mins.
  • Take out small portion from dough and make a ball. Press it with the help of your hands and Roll it like chapati on rolling board.
  •  Grease the chapati with oil or ghee and sprinkle some flour on it.
  • Now from the one edge of chapati start making folded plits. Keep folding till another end.
  • Join the two ends of plitted chapati by making circular coil.
  • It will look like a coiled ball. Now again start rolling it lightly on a rolling board. Make Paratha.
  • Put the Tawa on gas and heat it on medium flame. Now take that paratha and put it over tawa.
  • Roast it from one side and then flip to the other. Cook till golden brown spots appear on Paratha.
  • Now spread ghee or oil with the help of spatula to both sides of paratha.
  • Tranfer paratha to serving plate and serve with mango pickle.
