Dal Kanda!!

Dal kanda is an easy and very simple recipe. This can be a good option when there is no vegetable left. And it is very Delicious with Parathas.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Chana dal
- 2 finely chopped Onions
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Kanda lasun masala
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 2~3 Dry red chilies
- 7~8 finely chopped Garlic Cloves
- 10-12 Curry leaves
Method
- Wash the chana dal well and soak it in enough water for about 2-3 hours.
- Heat up oil in cooker.
- Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
- Then, Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Now, Add dry red chilies, garlic, curry leaves and mix well.
- You can use crushed garlic too.
- Fry the spices for a few seconds.
- Add onion and fry until it gets a nice golden color.
- Now, Add kanda lasun masala, red chili powder and mix well.
- You can add goda masala, kala masala, varhadi masala or any stored masala in place of kanda lasun masala.
- Add soaked dal along with water.
- Then, Add some more water and salt to taste.
- Mix well and cook on medium heat until just 1 whistle.
- Dal kanda is already.
